As summer 2019 approaches, Primetag presents the most mentioned Spanish cities – by influencers – on Instagram as a guide to help choose your next Spanish destination.

The following ranking of ‘Best Spanish destinations’ is part of the ‘Social Influence Report Spain 2018 by Primetag’ [available for download]. We have analyzed 6.221 Spanish influencer accounts and 1,3 millions of publications. The first general and industry analysis of the most influential Spanish Instagram accounts, their contents, and behavior during 2018.

3538 mentions. Our final most mentioned Spanish destination goes to the exotic Murcia, Spain. Take in all the wine, culture, seaside, and adventures for the whole weekend, or however long you would like. In the end, you cannot go wrong.

9982 mentions. Our third most Instagrammed spot in Spain goes to Valencia. Valencia may be the birthplace of Paella, but that isn’t even the largest attraction, so you know the city must be magical. Valencia is a “must-see” this summer.

2º Barcelona

36800 mentions. Mi Amor, Barcelona. Our next most mentioned Spanish destination is Barcelona. Whether you are a frequent visitor or first-timer, there never seems to be enough time spent in Barcelona.

1º Madrid

65345 mentions. From vibrant nightlife to breathtaking sights, Madrid is our most mentioned Spanish destination on Instagram. Influencers such as @maria.abajo recommend soaking in all the incredible architecture and busy streets during your memorable visit.
